Obituary of Sharon Anne Black
Sharon Anne Black, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday October 2nd 2021 surrounded by her family.
“She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible, she walked with the Lord on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings”.
Born in Sussex, raised in New Canaan, she was the daughter of Alvin and Faith (Corey) Clarke.
She was known as sweet and kind and a special lady to many. Her unshakeable faith is what she will be remembered for. She cherished her children and loved being an active role in her grandsons’ lives. She had a great love for animals and flowers. Sharon enjoyed knitting and creating art.
She is survived by her mother Faith Clarke, her children: Laura (Mike) Stairs, Patrick (Emily) Black, grandchildren: Xavier, Ashton, Emmett and Lincoln and her siblings: Darryl, Marliss, Mitzi and Kevin (Beth). She is predeceased by her father Alvin Clarke and brother Brian.
We want to take this opportunity to thank her many close friends that spent countless hours comforting her. And a huge thanks to the staff from Extra Mural for becoming part of our family and giving us the strength and support to get through this difficult time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176). A private graveside service will be held for the family.
