Obituary of William George McEwen

Mr. William George McEwen was born in Newtown on December 01, 1934. He was the son of the late George and Prudence (Church) McEwen and was the husband of the late Frances (Parlee) McEwen, who passed away in 2011. Wille is survived by his daughters: Anne Walsh of White Court, Alta and Kay Mills and her husband Alan of Dundalk, ON; his sons: Ken McEwen (Debbie), Joe (Olive Squire) and Doug McEwen, all of Dundalk, ON and Willie (Alicia Eustaquio) of Sussex; his step-daughters: Margaret MacTavish (Robert Bouvier) of Pickering, ON; Melissa Code and her husband Dave of Perth, ON, Wendy Proctor and husband Cecil of Belleville, ON; his step-sons: Lloyd MacTavish of Toronto; Paul MacTavish and wife Lou of BC, Ralph MacTavish and wife Kim of Brampton; his sister, Frances Jennings of Saint John; 27 grandchildren: Miranda (Marko), Ariel, Conrad, Rosalee (Matt), Gina, Andrew, Cecile, Jennifer, Vanessa, James, Kaitland, Victoria, Brenden, Katelyn, Billy (Stephanie), Josh, Jacqueline, Corrinda, Ken (Heather), April, Melissa, John (Natasha), Brian, Dylan, Courtney, Jacob and Josh;9 great grandchildren: Loki, Lance, Bayden, Ellie, Jordan, Jayden, Benjamin, Brody and Jacob; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. William George McEwen of Four Corners, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on April 16, 2012 at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his brothers: Ronald and Vincent; his sisters: Mary Henderson and Kathleen Filmore and by his great granddaughter Claire. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19th from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A celebration of Willie's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 10:00 am. The interment will take place at Newtown Baptist Cemetery. Donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
