Condolence to the McFarlane family. All I have are fond memories of Jim, be it at the arena, ball field or travelling with our hockey team as a team helper. Then the hockey voice of Sussex ! He always remembered peoples names even if it was years later. Thank you for the memories Jim, Rest in Peace my friend.

I remember Jim as a young student and lover of sports. He was always helping around the gym and with various teams. He became a very good umpire at an early age and acquitted himself very well umpiring Intermediate and senior baseball games of the Golden Arrows and Alpines. I will always remember him as "The Voice of the 8th Hussars Sports Centre" and the go to guy for any information on local hockey at all levels. He was a helper and a very kind person whom I considered a friend. He was so proud of his boys and a solid member of his church and community. May he Rest In Peace!
