I’m so sorry to read of Ross’s death. I always looked forward to meeting him at his work and having a little chat.
Years ago, when Ross was a teenager, I was his teacher. He was always a kind and gentle young man, constantly looking out for others and looking for ways to be helpful. One day I arrived at the door of my mobile classroom to find Ross already at the door, full of concern, with something in his arms. It turned out to be an injured partridge. Together we settled him into a box in the classroom and once revived, we carried it way up to the back of the graveyard, near the school, and released it.
I won’t ever forget this happy little adventure with Ross or any of the other friendly encounters with him. To his family, I am very sorry for your loss. Mary McKay Keith
