Anna, Carla, Patti and Perry,
I was so sorry to hear of Donnie’s passing. I enjoyed visiting with him when he and Anna came to see Carla. He was so helpful to me when I was getting my house, including taking me to the plant in Sussex. He was so kind to me and I won’t ever forget it.

I could easily echo Ben Whalen's comment.
Donnie took a chance and hired me right out of high school. My first day on the job was after an all nighter after a graduation party. I was asleep in my car in the parking lot of the shop on Church Ave. " Border Electric" when I was woke to go to work.
From there I proceded to have a BAD day. Donnie knew and understood.
He helped me in my trade, encouraged me along, sometimes with a proverable kick in the pants always with a caring heart.
He also encouraged me to get involved in community activities as he himself did.
I could go on all day so enough said.

Anna, Patti, Carla and Perry ~ so sad to learn of Donnie's passing. Although we are not all on the "hill" and haven't been for quite some time, I still think of all you, "kids" (then, lol) growing up with my Shannon. Although I ran into Anna once in a while and learned of Donnie's problems, it has been again quite a while since I have seen her. This having been said, I was very surprised to learn of Donnie's passing. One of my memories of Donnie is dancing with him at the dances at the Roachville Hall. He was a very good dancer and I loved dancing with him. So, to all, sincerest condolences to each and every one of you, Cherish your memories as I too will.
