Dear Kim, Serge and family.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had the great pleasure of knowing your mom from waiting on her at work. She was a hot duck, as my grandmother used to say, meaning she liked to have a laugh and have fun. She was just such a lovely lady. We send our heartfelt condolences to you and all of her family as you move through the next few days, weeks, and months to come without your mom. It will be a difficult time for you, but lean on your friends and family during this time.

Dear Paul, Tammy, Kim: was so sorry to hear from Doug yesterday about Ethlyn’s passing. I last talked with her on her birthday 2020. I noticed things had changed from my previous call (memory), and Donna Murray told me later that Ethlyn had gone to a nursing home. I always had a visit with her when I got to N.B. And we always had some fun memories to recall. She had told me about all her very special grandchildren and great children. I know she will be missed by so many and I am thinking about you all at this time. I looked through old photo albums today and old pictures of you Tammy, with Michael and Doug. Also Paul, in our wedding pictures. This is my second try at sending you a note. Hope this goes. Much love to you all. Zelma

So sorry to hear the passing of your mom. She was a very nice lady and always enjoyed a chat. I remember her at the Penobsquis church growing up and how she loved to play the organ/piano. Then in later years enjoyed seeing and watching
her play cards at the Penobsquis Hall. May all the wonderful memories you have of her help you through your difficult days.

The spark in her eyes is what I think of when I think of Ethlyn. I was lucky to meet her when she played at Saint Jonh's United Church, I was in the choir and what fun she brought to us there. We became good friends as she did with everyone who knew her. At choir she was a true inspiration to us all, even got my wife and I to do a duet one time. We all thought the world of her and the sparkle in her eyes and heart.
My God bless the family and hold you through your grief and always as you journey on after her.

To all of the family. We send our sincere condolences on Ethlyn’s passing. She was a lovely, kind and gentle person who will be missed. Ethlyn was very talented and she used to play the old pump organ at the church, and could she ever make the notes sing!
The picture I posted was taken at the 100th Anniversary of the Penobsquis School. Ethlyn is sitting by Pauline Mills and Don Smith. They had such a wonderful afternoon reminiscing about their teaching days…
