I was so sorry to learn of Vera's passing. My condolences to each of you. I have thought of you often remembering times spent between Highfield, Cody's and Jemseg growing up. Our families had some good times together. We've all gone our own ways but when a loss like this occurs it's nice to know old friends are here for you and still care.

My heart goes out to all of Veras family. I had the privilege of doing her hair for over 30 years and became very close to her. She was like a grandmother to me. One of the funniest, caring, spunkiest and sweetest ladies I’ve ever met. My heart is broken and I miss her so very much!

Charlie, Mark, Chris and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. It has been years since I have seen her. We worked together at the Credit Bureau of Saint John in the 1970's and early 80's. Vera was such an amazing Lady. Vera worked for my father in law Arnold Donovan .
I have thought of her many times over the years and have told many good stories about those days. Your Mom was very kind to Nancy and me always .

To Charlie, Gayle, Mark, Donna and families. We are saddened to hear of your Mom's passing . She was a beautiful person in flesh, body and soul and I have been honoured to be a friend for many years. Vera and I worked together for quite some time so the stories we share are far to many to convey. The last time I saw her was when my husband Dennis and I visited with her in the hospital. She had a peaceful, loving way with flowers that she transposed to people. Everyone was a friend. Each time we spoke on the phone she would have me in tears, laughing about people and things that happened in the past. That will be missed forever more. Vera was a very spiritual and Christian person and I know her soul will traverse the path to her Lord.

So sad to read of your mom's passing . I have known Vera since I was about eight years old , when her dad had a lumber camp in Salmon Creek. She was a friend of my Aunt Eula and I often tagged along , Later when Bill and I moved back to Cody's our friendship was renewed. Spent many evenings playing cards with many laughs .
