I saw a picture in the newspaper of a lady with the name Amy Freeze and thought to myself I know that lady. So browsed the obituary and sure enough it was my Mom’s friend Amy Smith. To her children I am so sorry for your loss.You are very lucky to have had your Mom so long .That is a marvellous age to have been You will have many memories to cherish..She is now above watching over you all with her 3 youngsters beside her..Rest in peace Amy Freeze..Hugs

It is with sadness that we read of Amy's passing. She lived both a good life and a long life. When I think of Amy, I think of dignity, and elegance; of a lady in the truest sense of the word. She clearly had courage and strength to travel to Canada, as a War Bride, from her home in England—at a time when travel and long distance communication were far more difficult than they are today.
