The death of William “Bill” Grant Carhart occurred on February 14, 2008 at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 73. Born in Carsonville, a son of the late Thomas and Emily (Yates) Carhart and was the husband of the late Viola May Carhart. Bill is survived by his children; Brian Carhart (Dianna) of Berwick, Robert Carhart of Sussex, Bruce Carhart (Juanita) of Apohaqui, Teresa Carhart (Peter Godin) of Collina, Jeffery Carhart (Nancy) of Collina, Richard Carhart (Juanita) of Sussex Corner, Tracy Barton of Sussex and Randell Carhart (Kim) of Apohaqui, 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, sisters; Gladys Donovan of Sussex, Ruth Rouse of Carsonville and Ida McKnight of Sussex, brothers Edward “Buck” Carhart (Barb) and Leonard Carhart, both of Carsonville, his special friend Shirley Barton and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by sisters; Joyce Doyle and Elizabeth Douthwright and brothers; Thomas, Charles, Ronald and Murray. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Saturday from 7-9PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday February 18, 2008 at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend David Barrett officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Sussex. Donations made tot the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
