Gerene was born in Bathurst on October 12, 1946; she was the daughter of the late Edward and Doris (O'Brien) Boudreau. Gerene was a hard working woman and operated her farm in the Head of Millstream for several years. She loved her family, her dogs and horses. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts. Gerene is survived by her companion Jack McKay, her daughter, Tammy Stiles and Ken Daigle of Benjamin River, NB, her son David Trites and Julie Stevens of Sussex; six grandchildren: Ashley, Alysha, Kyle, Devon, Gabriel and Connor; a step daughter, Jacqueline McKeroll and her husband Stuart of Hamilton, Ontario; two stepsons: Roy and his wife Janet and Paul and his wife Lucy all of Sussex; 11 step grandchildren: Angela, Carl, Amy, Kevin, Amber, Erica, Kara, Cody, Amanda, Samantha and Tabatha; five step great grandchildren: Brittany, Brienna, Rebecca, Dustin and Ashley, as well as several nieces and nephews. Gerene was predeceased by her daughter Christine Trites who passed away in 1989.
