M. Georgia McCabe, 81, of Penobsquis passed away at Roxeanne’s Special Care Home on February 2, 2015. Born in Point Clair, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (nee Whittaker) Love. Georgia was a co-founder of Dusty’s Legacy Pet Sanctuary. She also enjoyed reading and jazz music. Georgia is survived by her daughter Heather McCabe of Penobsquis, her sons: Jeremy McCabe and his wife Sherry of Alberta, David, Peter, John and Stephen McCabe all of Montreal; her grandchildren: Danial Gibb, Niklas McCabe and Oliver McCabe. Besides her parents, Georgia was predeceased by her grandson Mitchal Gibb, and her children’s father, Jeremy F. McCabe. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home from where visitation will be held on Friday, February 6 from 1-3pm & 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 11am at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home Chapel.
