Obituary of Donald William Elmore
Mr. Donald “Don” William Elmore of Sussex Corner, NB passed away at his home on February 22, 2017. Don was the son of the late Frank and Marion (Hines) Elmore and the husband of Jean (Hayes) Elmore. Don created Don- More Surveys on April 1, 1973. He was a well known and well respected contributor to the community of Sussex. Those who worked with him were considered family and he would do anything he could to help those who he appreciated so much. Those who knew Don certainly appreciated his sense of humor. He was very kind hearted but if he could make you laugh, that was even better. He was very active in the community as a member of the Golf and Curling Club, the Jay Cees and the founding member of the Greater Fundy Ground Search and Rescue. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Jean; his daughters: Shelley Fortin (Mario) of Dieppe and Shannon Graham (Trevor) of Sussex; his son Darren Elmore of Sussex Corner; his sisters: Grace (Trevor Weaver), Barb (Wayne) and Audrey (Ed) all of Port George, NS; his brother Frankie (Donna) of Port George, NS as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Arrangements are in the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB (506) 433-2133 from where visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2017 from 1-4pm. A service celebrating Don’s life will be held from St. John’s United Church, 7 Needle Street, Sussex Corner, NB on Sunday, February 26th, 2017 at 2:00pm followed by a time of fellowship at the Church Hall.
