Obituary of Myrtle Irene Rouse

Myrtle I. Rouse, wife of George E. Rouse of Corn Hill died at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton on September 5, 2004, Myrtle was born March 31, 1927, the youngest daughter of the late Charles F. and Jessie P. (Colpitts) McCully of Intervale, NB. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, two sons, Gary G. and Susan of Moncton and David C. and Pauline of Sussex Corner. Three brothers, Fletcher A. McCully and Faye of Moncton, Winston S. McCully and Mona of Riverview and Dana E. McCully and Edith of Intervale, a sister Dorothy Eagles and Stewart of Edmonton, Alberta, sister in law Norma McCully of Greenville, South Carolina. Seven grandchildren; Charles F. (Caroline), Moncton, Shawn (Amanda), Saint John, Stacey Charlton (Richard), Apohaqui, Michael D. (Misty), McGregor Brook and Colin G. (Michelle), Riverglade, Lisa M. and Kelly L., both of Moncton. Seven great grandchildren; Marcus and Megan Charlton, Olivia Stockdale, Zachary, Cameron, Celina and Tanner Rouse, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Austin B. McCully, sisters Julia G. Barchard and Miriam M. Shaffer. Myrtle was a member of the Corn Hill United Baptist Church, where she served as clerk for many years. She was a Dominion Life Member of the Corn Hill Women's Missionary Society, a life member of the Corn Hill Women's Institute, and a charter member of the Corn Ridge Senior Citizens. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Corn Hill United Baptist Church on Wednesday September 8, 2004 at 2:00 PM, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Corn Hill United Baptist Church or the Sussex Health Centre Dialysis Unit would be appreciated.
