Obituary of Pauline Dorothy Goddard

Pauline Dorothy Goddard (nee Parlee), passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Center surrounded by her family on November 28, 2014. Born in Newtown, she was a daughter of the late Chesley and Eva May (nee Whiteneck) Parlee, and the loving wife of Harvey Goddard for the past 67 years. Pauline was a Pastry Cook at the Blue Bird restaurant for 17 years and was a past member of the Woman’s Institute. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening (especially her houseplants), crocheting, baking, puzzles, Skip-Bo and Auction 45’s. She enjoyed fishing when she was young. Besides her husband, Pauline is survived by her daughters: Linda Breau (Allen) of Grand Bay … Westfield, and Janice Candy (Peter) of Falmouth, NS; her son: Peter Goddard (Georgetta) of Berwick; daughter-in-law: Mary Jane Goddard; grandchildren: Colin Breau, Nathan Breau, Kurt Goddard(Rebecca), Dustin Goddard (Chelsey), Lucas Candy (Melissa), Jonah Candy (Sarah), Samantha Carr (Paul Carter), Raymond Goddard (Gina), Wesley Goddard (Terri), and Charles Goddard; great-grandchildren: Gideon, Esther, Layla, Katie, Alex, Brianna, Harvey and Tegan; and many extended family and friends. Pauline was predeceased by her sons: James Goddard and Harold Goddard (in infancy); her sisters: Irene Lenny and Alice Flemming; and brothers: James Parlee and Hedley Parlee. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Rd, Sussex, from where visitation will be held on Monday December 1st, 2014 from 2 pm … 5 pm, and the funeral service on Tuesday December 2nd, at 10:30 am with Major Stan Folkins presiding.
