John Stephen Lawrence, 63, of Erb Settlement passed away on November 26, 2012 at his residence. Born in Halifax, N.S., he was the son of the late John and Annie (nee Gallant) Lawrence. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lawrence (nee Sampson); children: Jacqueline Stevens (Darren) of Musquodoboit, John Jr. Lawrence (Colleen) of Erb Settlement and Shawn Lawrence (Alicia) of Dartmouth, N.S.; grandchildren: Laura Allan, Ashton Stevens, Kelton Stevens, and James, Grace, Caitlin and Chelsea Lawrence; sisters: Anne-Marie Latham (David) of B.C., Darlene Smeltzer (Wayne) and Debbie Manuel (David) both of Dartmouth, N.S.; aunt, Shirley Shelton of Dartmouth, N.S.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his father-in-law, Amabile (Pup) Sampson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. As per John’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private interment will be held in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, N.S.
