Obituary of Robert John Dibblee
The death of Robert “Ted” John Dibblee of Apohaqui, NB occurred unexpectedly at his residence on August 14, 2004. Ted was born in Dunsinane, NB, the son of the late Benjamin and Ada (Wortman) Dibblee. As a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Ted's work took him throughout Canada working in the Artic Circle, in Dewline with radar systems, in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as various places within the Maritimes. Ted was a Major Blood Donor for the Red Cross. He is survived by his sister Helen Davidson and her husband George of Saint John, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by sisters Mary (Fred) Murphy, Mildred (Everett) Nodwell and Violet (Clifford) Jones and nephews Jimmy and Carl Nodwell. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Sussex Branch #20 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Tribute on Tuesday evening at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 18, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery, Penobsquis. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Apohaqui Community Church, the Collina Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
