The death of Michael Henry DeVine of Hillsdale occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on October 27, 2010 at the age of 83. Born a son of the late Joseph and Theresa DeVine. Michael is survived by his wife Frances (Tingley) DeVine, daughter Donna (Stan) Beyer of Norton, sons; Joseph DeVine of Hillsdale, Rodney (Pat) DeVine of Jeffries Corner, Brian DeVine of Hillsdale, Harold DeVine (Maria) of Smiths Creek, Walter DeVine (Vivian) of Barrie, ON, son-in-law Bill Beech of Upperton, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his special pet Blackie. Michael was predeceased by an infant son John Wayne, daughter Linda Beech, brothers Gerald and Elward DeVine and his other special pet Lucky. Michael drove truck and worked in the woods during his career. Whether he was at a woods camp or driving for Maritime Gardners or Ryan Construction, he always did his job the best he could. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday from 4-7PM. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday October 29, 2010 at 1:30PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Wards Creek Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
