Lewis, Ernest Blake, 92, of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on February 6, 2012. Born in Young’s Cove, he was a son of the late Murray and Cora (nee Miller) Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Clarice “Mary” Lewis; his sons: Arthur Lewis (Doris) of Quispamsis, Robert Lewis (Celine) of Matthews Settlement, and Edward Lewis (Connie) of Moncton; brother, Randolph Lewis of Moncton; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his brothers: Harry Lewis and Norman Lewis; sisters: Edith Burtt, Lula Thorne, Elizabeth Lewis, Dorothy Lewis, and Julia Almon. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 will be holding a tribute service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:45 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 3:00pm, with Rev. Rob MacCallum presiding, at the Sussex Wesleyan Church. Interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery at a later date.
