Brian H. Thorne of Sussex, New Brunswick, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on September 23, 2008. Born in Sussex in 1952, he was the son of the late George and Lula (Lewis) Thorne. Brian is survived by his wife, Cathy (Benson) Thorne, son Jason Thorne (Cheryl McGinnis) of Sussex, daughters, Ellen Thorne and her husband Benson Chang of Taiwan, Heather Thorne of Sussex, and Amy Fitzgerald (David Hardiment) of Fredericton, 4 grand children, Nicholas, Kalyn, Keira, and Brady Brian. Sisters, Mildred (Roy) Perry of Sunderland, Ontario, Ruby (Edward) McFarlane of Rockville, Joan (Wayne) Ward of Surrey, BC, Judith (Ivan) Pascoe of Sussex. Brothers, Arnold (Sue) of Buckhorn, Ontario, Charles (Doris) of Sussex, Donald (Gail) of Ottawa, Robert (Anne) of Moncton, David (Dale Muir) of Mt. Middleton, William (Jeanette) of Boutiliers Point, Wayne (Jean) of Picadilly, Douglas (Barbara) of Toronto, Ontario, and Carl (Emily) of Sussex. Brian was predeceased by his sister, Beulah Petersen, and brothers Ronald and Lloyd Thorne. The family will receive visitors at The Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, (506-433-2133) on Thursday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Sussex on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 2pm. Internment Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex.
