It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Richard (Dick) Carl Davis of Sussex on July 23, 2015 with his beloved wife by his side. Born on July 11, 1956 in Gagetown, NB, Dick was a son of the late Alvin “Buddy” and Irene (nee Northrup) Davis. Dick worked for the Dept. of Transportation for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stock car races. Dick loved his pets and spending time with his family and friends. Dick is survived by his best friend and loving wife Lois Dianne (nee Howe) Davis; step-son Jason (Amy) McCleary; 5 grandchildren: Rhayelyn, Landin, Jorja, Cooper and the apple of his eye Jewel; his sister Linda (Carl) Doyle of Sussex; his brothers: Ray (Nancy) of Sussex and Brian of Plumweseep; mother-in-law Louise Howe of Sussex; as well as many extended family members. Besides his parents, Dick was predeceased by his brother Reggie, his sister Valerie Boyd, sister-in-law Gail Davis and his father-in-law Ronald Howe. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Rd., Sussex (506)433-2133. Visitation will be held on Monday July 27, 2015 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 11:00 am all in the Sussex Select Chapel.
