BOLLMAN, GEORGE A. – George Andrew Bollman of Newtown, NB, husband of Mirline (Gordon) Bollman, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2014. Born in Webb, Sasketchewan, he was a son of the late Milton and Florence (Sim) Bollman. George and Mirline moved to New Brunswick in 1988, where George was employed as a Chemical Engineer with PCS. He was a avid golfer and enjoyed curling, and was also a member of the Sussex Golf & Curling Club. In his younger years he used to play competitive tennis and drive Stock Car in Saskatchewan. In addition to his wife, George is survived by two sons, Scott Bollman (Jessica Burrell) of Moncton and Michael Bollman of Calgary; a daughter, Loresha Bollman (Brandon Earle) of Hillsborough; grandchildren Darius and Damien Bollman; siblings Dennis Bollman (Beverley) of Saskatchewan, Fern McNaughton (Matt) of Alberta, and Connie Sorenson (Wayne) of Saskatchewan; several nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by a sister, Vicki Bollman. Resting at Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, with visiting on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. In keeping with George’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Interment will take privately at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Sussex Extra Mural Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
