The death of George Oscar Walker of New Line and formerly of Wards Creek, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on November 15, 2005 at the age of 83. Born at Upper Wards Creek, NB a son of the late David and Ida (Riedle) Walker and beloved husband of Margaret (Brown) Walker. Besides his wife he is survived by daughters; Heather Boulter (Sterling) of Kingston, PEI, Beth Cormier (Richard) of Sussex and Sally van de Wiel (Paul) of Antigonish, NS, sons; Paul (Patricia) Walker of Wards Creek and James (Blanche) Walker of New Line, grandchildren Rhonda, Andrea and Matthew Boulter, Emily and Jeffrey Cormier, Emery, Garret, Carter and Rebecca van de Wiel, Marc, David and Aaron Walker, Meaghan and Joel Walker, sisters Ella Walker and Mabel Danson of Sussex, brothers Frank (Edna) Walker of New Line and Charles (Jean) Walker of Belwood, ON, sisters-in-law, Evelyn Walker of St. Stephen, Joan Morse of Ipswich, Mass., and brother-in-law Kenneth (Pauline) Brown of Sussex and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by a son Robert Walker, his parents, a sister Lillie McHaffie and a brother John Walker. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Sussex on Friday November 18, 2005 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Philip Dallimore officiating. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Robert Walker Memorial Fund or to St. Paul's United Church would be appreciated by the family.
