The death of Elizabeth Louisa Alexandria Tabor formerly of Hammondvale occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on October 22, 2004 in her 100th year. Born in Port au Port, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Alvena (Hines) Gillam, and the wife of the late Harold Tabor. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters; Wilma Bell (Elmer) of Sussex Corner, Carlotta Spencer (Bill) of Hampton, son Andy (Gladys) Tabor of Hammondvale, 36 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by daughters Audrey Purtill and Myrtle Sutherland, sons Merlin and Marley Tabor, grandsons John and Barry, granddaughter Madaline, great grandson David, sister Alice and brothers Albert, William and Gilbert Gillam. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Sussex Corner on Monday October 25, 2004 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Allen Tapley officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Hammondvale Cemetery, the Kidney Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
