McMillan-Briggs, Cora B. (nee Mason) of Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday August 8, 2011. Born at Jordan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Marjorie (nee Kelly) Mason. Cora is survived by her husband, Douglas Briggs; by her daughters: Patti Borda (Steve) of Head of Millstream, and Sue McMillan (John MacDonald) of Toronto; by her son, Rob McMillan of Sussex; by her grandchildren: Cody Richardson (Erin Habraken) and Jazmyn McIntyre; by her sister, Zaversia Mae Archibald (Fraser) of Sussex; by her brother, Gordon Mason (Marjorie) of Hamilton, On; by her step-children: Sharon Pretty (Rollie), Patricia Williams (Cedric), Charlene Parlee (Philip), David Briggs (Lori), Michael Briggs (Jenny); as well as by several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. She will be missed by her furry friend, Scamp. Besides her parents, Cora was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Archibald “Bump” McMillan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in Sussex Select Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex; the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Kevin Vincent presiding, at the Atlantic Community Church in Apohaqui. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery, Head of Millstream.
