Obituary of Eileen Elwilda McFarlane

Eileen Elwilda McFarlane, 77, of Sussex and formerly of Plumweseep, was Promoted to Glory on November 29, 2013 at home surrounded by family.

Born in Sussex, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Bernice (nee Mason) Murray, and the wife of the late Lloyd McFarlane who passed away in 2005.

Eileen was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Sussex, and was active in many church groups. She is retired from G.E. Barbour after many years of dedicated service.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Elaine MacDougall (James) of Oxford, NS, Debbie Branscombe (Ivan) of Corn Hill, and Jamie McFarlane (Mary) of Plumweseep; her grandchildren: Angel, Joe, Greg, Becky, Cassie, Ryan, Chelsea, Megan, Nathan, Sandy and Toni; her great grandchildren: Shelby, Damien, Carlie, Zoe, Hazen, Payton, Maxime, Gracie, and Emillia; as well as by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Eileen was predeceased by her daughter Beth Anne McFarlane; her son Cecil McFarlane; her sister Joan; and her brother Cecil.

At Eileen's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment has taken place at Evergreen Memorial Park, Sussex with Major Judy Folkins presiding.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Salvation Army or the Extra Mural Program Foundation in Sussex would be appreciated by the family.
