The death of Ronald Warren Keirstead of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on October 26, 2003. Ron was born March 7, 1925, a son of the late Oliver and Margaret (Chamberlain) Keirstead. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Doris P. (Chown) Keirstead, brothers Gilbert and wife Hildegard of Moncton and Herbert and wife Velma of Lorneville, thirteen nieces and nephews and twenty-one great nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by a sister Betty Crealock. Ron was a member of the Sussex United Baptist Church, Zion Lodge # 21 F & AM and the Luxor Shriners. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Wednesday October 29, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Sussex United Baptist Church, with Reverend Jeff Benson officiating. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
