With heavy hearts we announce the death of Barbara Loraine (Curwin) Wright , 77, of Lower Millstream formerly of Saint John, on October 2, 2012 at the Primrose Special Care Home. Born in Head of Millstream, she was a daughter of the late Allan and Pauline (nee Anderson) Barton. Barbara worked for Centracare as a psychiatric attendant for 28 years. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wright of Roachville; children: George Curwin, Susan Curwin (Cindy Losier), Bruce Curwin (Sheila) and Gloria Curwin all of Saint John; step-children: Cathy Dalling (Ensley) of Marrtown and Della Robinson (Wayne) of Wards Creek; grandchildren: Shelley, Cynthia, Holly, Matthew, Mallory and Michael Curwin, and Christopher and Collin Lawson; step-grandchildren: Amanda and Patrice Dalling, and Jeffrey and Lisa Elliott; sister, Gloria Barton of Saint John; great-grandson, Zachary Curwin; step-great-grandson, EJ Dalling; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her first husband, George Curwin; and brothers: Kenneth, Paschal and Glen Barton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. As per Barbara’s request there will be no visitation held. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at11:00am at the Lower Millstream United Baptist Church, 511 Route 880, with Rev. Brian Steeves presiding. A private interment will be held in the Lester Cemetery, Berwick. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
