Obituary of J.W. Donald Schofield
The death of James Wesley Donald Schofield of Sussex Corner, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 3, 2006 at the age of 83. Born at Newtown, NB a son of the late Silas James and Annie Gertrude (Robinson) Schofield. Don was the husband of the late Louise M. (McQuinn) Schofield who passed away in 2005. He is survived by his daughter Linda Tabor and husband Walter of New Line, grandchildren, Bruce Tabor and girlfriend Thomasina of Fredericton, Carol Tabor and boyfriend Joel and Wayne Tabor, both of New Line, sister Olive Carter, Pickering ON and brother Gerald Schofield and wife Marion, Saint John. Don was predeceased by a grandson Steven Tabor. Don was a member of the Orange Lodge for 64 years. He was a member of the Happy Go Lucky Fiddlers, the Sussex Vale Golden “K” and was one of the Golden “K” Ramblers. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Orange lodge will hold a Tribute on Wednesday at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church on Thursday July 6, 2006 at 3:00 PM, with Mrs. Jeanette Cosman SAM officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Sussex Health Centre Dialysis Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society or Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
