Mrs. Ethel Jean Cowan was born to Thomas and Matilda (McFarland) Hall in Newline, on September 15, 1914. Jean is survived by her son, Bob Secord and his wife Sondra of Penobsquis; 4 daughters: Jane Secord of Sussex, Carol Kyle and her husband Bob of Sussex, Helen Shield and her husband Al of Milo, Alberta and Louise McGinnis and Gilles Morisette of Windsor, Ont.; 2 step daughters; Norma Paul and her husband Ian of Sackville and Carol Whittaker and her husband Peter of Harvey Station; 16 Grandchildren; 18 Great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family Mrs. Ethel Jean Cowan of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on November 22, 2008 at the age of 94.
