The death of Mildred Florence McKay of Sussex occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 19, 2004. Mildred was born at Lisson Settlement on March 13, 1916 a daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Robinson) Wilkins. She was the wife of the late Allie McKay. Mildred is survived by her children Francis (Barbara) McKay of Sussex, Dianne Mahoney-Dyke (Mel) of Olds, Alberta; Karen Scott (Arnold) of Hampton; John “Jack” McKay (Susan) of Markhamville and Richard McKay (Patricia) of Sundry, Alberta; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, sister Alice Burgess of Sussex; brother Elmer Wilkins (Phyllis) of Anagance, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Ethel Iser, Edith Wilkins and Helen Richardson and brother Russell Wilkins. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday May 22, 2004 at St. John's United Church, Sussex Corner at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Knox United Church Cemetery, Markhamville. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
