Obituary of Connie Cunningham
Connie was born on February 15, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Harry "Bud" and Alvaretta (Kelso) Nice and was the wife of the late Gordon Dexter Cunningham who passed away in 2001.
Her younger years were spent in Sussex, going to Quebec after her marriage to Gordon and then returning to her roots after Gordon's retirement.
Connie's interests were church work, Curling and Bridge. She was a life member of the Girl Guide Association, The Historical and Archival Society and a member of the Sussex Baptist Church.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Constance Dawn Robinson; her brother Donald Anderson and his wife Ann of Oromocto and family; her sister Jean Matthews of Sussex and family; five granchildren: Michelle Webber of Barrie, ON, J. Bruce MacKenzie-Haines and his wife Dianne, Gordon R. MacKenzie-Haines and his wife Beverley, Robin McKenzie-Haines and Craig MacKenzie-Haines and families all of Ontario; cousin, Bill Kelso (F: Don Kelso).
Mrs. Constance "Connie" Evelyn Louise Kelso (Nice) Cunningham passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on April 11, 2012. She was predeceased by her brother, George Nice of Jemseg; her sister Fay McPeake of Saint John and by her brother-in-law, Hazen Matthews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176); where visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A Celebration of Connie's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00am. The interment will take place at Kirkhill Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy donations made to the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
