The death of Laura May DeForest of Waterford occurred on July 10, 2006 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex. Laura was born at Newtown, NB in 1918 a daughter of the late Kempt and Edna May (Hall) Clain and was the wife of the late Arthur Henry DeForest who passed away in May 2006. She is survived by her daughter Heather Smith (Robert), Waterford, grandchildren Craig Smith, Waterford and Nadine D’Souza (Alan), Ottawa, ON, four great grandchildren; Jenna Brice, Kieran and Harper, sister Ruby Hayward, Sussex, sister in law Marjorie DeForest, Salisbury, brother in law Kenneth DeForest, Waterford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Emma Burgess. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506)433-2133 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday July 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Creightonville Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Arthritis Society, the CNIB or the Dutch Valley United Baptist Church would be appreciated.
