The death of Ruby Edna Gamblin of Codys occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on December 17, 2003. Born at McAdam, NB on September 4, 1920 she was a daughter of the late James H. and Annie A. (Carr) Gallupe. Edna is survived by her husband of 60 years, William “Bill” P. Gamblin, sons David (Barbara) Gamblin of New Maryland, Brian “Tom” (Dianne) Gamblin of Labrador City, daughter Janice Gamblin (partner Arthure Collette) of Midland, grandchildren Alannah (Trevor) Jensen and Derek Gamblin (partner Andrea) and great grandson Logan Jensen. Brother Douglas (Betty) Gallupe of Dartmouth, sister Norma Swan (Allison) of McAdam and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Donald and Roy. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Saturday December 20, 2003 at the Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship, Pine Street, Sussex at 2:00 PM. Reverend Harry Branscombe will officiate and Reverend Nancy McCormick will assist. Interment will take place at the Coles Island Baptist Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Palliative Care Fund of the Sussex Health Centre or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
