The death of Dallas Hawkes of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Center on March 20, 2003. Dallas was born at Sussex, New Brunswick a son of the late Robert Cyrus and Nettie Mable (Orr) Hawkes. Dallas is survived by his wife Eleanor, son Wayne and daughter-in-law Judy of Riverview, NB, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by son Douglas, brothers Earle, Albin and Vincent and sister Marguerite DeBow. Dallas volunteered for many organizations and was recently honored for 50 years of service as Treasurer of Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex. He worked in accounting and office management for G.A. Crothers Ltd. Arrangements are in the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (433-2133). At his request there will be no visiting. The funeral will be held at the Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex, on Sunday March 23, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Reverend David Barrett officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner, at a later date in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Trinity Anglican Church or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
