Obituary of June A. Hayes

It is with love and fond memories that the family of Bill and June Hayes, announce the death of June Annie Hayes of Petitcodiac, NB. June was born in Truro, NS and moved to Petitcodiac in 1928, where she lived most of her life. June was predeceased by her parents Russell and Hazel (Ogilvie) Mann, sister Eva, brother William and husband Bill who passed away November 20, 2003. She is survived by four children; Linda Burrows of Fredericton, Wendy (Bill) Cusack of Havelock, Robert (Donna) Hayes of Havelock and Gregory (Sharon) Hayes of Sussex, eight grandchildren; Adam, Christa, Shannon, David, Mark, Troy, Shane and Justin, eleven great grandchildren, sister Dorothy (George) Coulombe of Riverview, brother Gordon (Margaret) Mann of Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews. June had a love for life and community. God walked with June everywhere she went. She was the first woman councilor for Petitcodiac. Other roles of leadership were; President of the Ladies Auxiliary RCL Branch #41, President of the Senior Citizens Club, 1st Vice President of the Maple Leaf Zone Senior Citizens Club, President of the Women’s Institute, President of the ACW and Worthy Matron of Regina Chapter 29 Order of the Eastern Star. There will be no visitation or funeral at June’s request. Interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery.
