The death of Murray William Crawford of Berwick Place Special Care Home, Berwick, NB and formerly of Markhamville Road, Hammondvale, NB occurred at his residence on February 17, 2006. Murray was born in 1925 at Hammondvale, a son of the late Simeon H. and Dora H. (Crawford) Crawford. Murray spent his life farming in Hammondvale. He was a member and Honorary Elder of Knox United Church, Markhamville and a long time member of the LOL 91 Orange Lodge, Markhamville. Murray is survived by his brother Melbourne Crawford and wife Freda of Moncton, NB, his sister Myrtle Baxter and her husband Murray of Saint John, NB, two brothers-in-law Ernest Pagett and his wife Sylvia of Markhamville, NB and Alexander McCullum of Hamilton, ON, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Clifford and Donis Crawford and sisters Freda Pagett and Lottie McCullum. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service conducted by Reverend Eugene Fisher will be held Monday, February 20, 2006 at the funeral home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Knox United Cemetery, Markhamville. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Knox United Church would be appreciated by the family. The Orange Lodge will conduct a Memorial Service at the funeral home on Sunday evening 6:30 PM.
