MacLeod, Douglas William, 82, of Sussex, passed away peacefully at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on May 8, 2015. Born on October 22, 1932, in Pugwash, NS, he was a son of the late Robert and Susan (nee Briggs) MacLeod, and the loving husband to the late Dorothy MacLeod. Doug is survived by his sister Phyllis Blois of Ontario and a special cousin Ruth Elliott of Wallace, NS. Doug was predeceased by his brother William MacLeod and his sister Shirley LeGalt. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506)433-2133, from where visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 1-3 pm with a funeral service following at 3:00 pm in the Sussex Select Chapel. There will be a time of fellowship immediately following the service. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.
