Obituary of Mary Devine

Devine, Mary “Linda”, 63, of Newline passed away on May 3, 2017 at the Sussex Health Centre surrounded by family.

Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Firmin and Irene (nee Daigle) Nowlan. Linda met Tim in high school when she was tutoring him, and he became the love of her life whom she eventually married. They had Patrick when they were living in Toronto, and they moved to Sussex in 2003. She was a very artistic person, and enjoyed making crafts and growing her vegetable garden. She was an incredibly spiritual person, with a great attitude towards life, and a warrior’s tenacity who would never give up.

Linda will be deeply missed by her husband Timothy Devine; her son Patrick Devine (Pamela) of Toronto; her sisters: Annette Nowlan of Cocagne and Diane Dalglish (Steve) of Ajax, ON; her brothers: Armand Nowlan (Janet) of Cambridge, ON and James Nowlan of Moncton; her brother-in-law Mike Devine (Betty) and niece Catherine Devine, all of Tucson, AZ, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133), from where visitation will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Father Dan Bastarache presiding.
