Elizabeth “Betty” A. Joynes, 78, passed away peacefully at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on June 10, 2012. Betty was born in Belleisle Creek on August 22, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Northrup. Betty is survived by her uncle, Howard (Mary) Joynes; aunt Doris Northrup; and cousins: Bill, Reg, Dave, Larry, Cheryl, Carol, and June. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. As per Betty’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.A legion tribute will take place on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. A private interment will be held in St. Simon & St. Jude’s Anglican Cemetery, Belleisle Creek. Donations to the St. John Ambulance, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
