The death of Hubert Ashley Morey of Penobsquis occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on April 9, 2003 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his wife Rose Aime (Pare) Smith Morey, his parents J. Herbert and Margaret L. (Graves) Morey, two brothers Lloyd and Ronald (Buddy). He is survived by a stepson Allan (Leslie) Smith, three step grandchildren Jeff (Lori Robinson), Brad and Kim Smith, two close cousins Alice Weldon and Beatrice Sproule and several other cousins. Ashley will also be missed by his chosen family George, Josie, Colton, Chandra and Janelle McPhee and Terry, Cathy, Kate and Tilly Bannister. Ashley was a farmer and woods worker his entire life, an active member of the PC Party and a member of the Goshen Snowmobile Club. He loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, fiddling and travel. At Ashley's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
