The death of George William Muir of the Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly Berwick, NB occurred on December 1, 2008 at the age of 82. George was a son of the late Herbert and Evelyn (Keirstead) Muir and was the husband of Pauline M. (Stewart) Muir of Sussex. He is survived by his children; Philip (Teri) Muir of Riverview and Pamela Muir of Berwick, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a sister; Jean Ness (Ron) of Belleisle and brothers; Mansel Muir of Belleisle and Maurice (Rose) Muir of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, sisters; Helen Muir, Elspeth Crealock and Dorothy Stewart and a brother Otty Muir. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at the Berwick Cemetery. Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Room at the Kiwanis Nursing Home would be appreciated.
