The death of David Reid Drury of McGregor Brook Road occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 3, 2008 at the age of 61. David enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends, whether he was at the camp, curling or hunting. He was a member of the Sussex Gyro Club. He watched NASCAR and always cheered for the Earnhardt’s. He loved cars, antiques or new. He was a hockey fan and followed whatever players were in his pool. He had a knack for woodworking and enjoyed giving his creations to others. David is survived by his wife Sheila (Armstrong) Drury, his father Wilfred T. (Margaret) Drury of Sussex, daughters; Beth Drury (Billy) of Quispamsis, Joelle Toomey (Kéighan) of Wards Creek and Ellen Drury of Sussex, son Wilf (Tina) Drury of McGregor Brook, granddaughters; Andrea, Rikki, Rian and Jordan and grandsons; Michael and Dawson, sister Bonney Holt (Ken) of Sussex, brothers; Donald (Carole) Drury of Fredericton and John Drury of Millbrook, four nieces and “his babies” Callie, Jack and George. David was predeceased by his mother Nora Kathleen (Hunt) Drury. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday August 7, 2008 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Roachville Cemetery. Donations made to the Sussex Health Centre Diagnostic Imaging would be appreciated.
