Obituary of Lorna Ruth Otis
Lorna Ruth (nee Lackie) Otis, of Sussex passed away peacefully on August 19, 2015 at the Sussex Health Center at the age of 82. Born in Salt Springs on September 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel and Augusta (nee Allaby) Lackie. Lorna was a long-time member of Trinity Anglican Church. Lorna is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Elvin Otis; her sister Shirley Folkins of Virginia; her brothers: Curtis (Patricia) of Newtown, Wendell (Judith) of Sussex, Crandall (Ruth) of Carsonville, Alfred (Evelyn) of Mount Middleton, and Garfield “Ora” (Phyllis) of Smith Creek. Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, 433-2133, from where visitation was held on Friday August 21, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. The funeral service was held at Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment was held in the Trinity Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A special thank-you to Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove and Rev. Thomas Nisbett for presiding at the service.
