Obituary of Annie M. Fair

Annie Mae Fair of Sussex passed into the loving arms of Jesus on April 6, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born at Norton, NB on May 1, 1931 a daughter of the late Alvin and Lily (Northrup) Clark. Annie was the wife of the late George Fair who passed away in 1983. She became a teacher and taught in the one room school at Carsonville. Annie was a charter member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church for over 57 years. One of the places she loved the most was Beulah Camp Ground. She went there from age 1 to 78, never missing one year. She was very proud of this record. Annie had a sweet spirit and never had an unkind word. She loved life and was known by all as a prayer warrior. The last few years she was the president of the Kings Manor Seniors Apartments. Annie is survived by her family that she dearly loved, her son; James Fair of Dutch Valley and her three daughters; Ruth Anne Fair-Parker and her husband Daniel of Grand Manan, NB, Sharon Lewis and her husband Scott of Lower Hainesville, NB and Angela Halstead and her husband Lew of York, Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren; George Fair, Sarah Fair, Andrew Lewis, Marianna Lewis, Monah Lewis, Nathan Parker, Bennett Halstead, Brighton Halstead and Belle Halstead, one great granddaughter Jessica Hayes, brother Robert Clark of Fredericton, sisters Mary Jack and Thelma Moss (Ron) all of Sussex and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A celebration service will be held at the Sussex Wesleyan Church on Sunday April 10, 2011 at 2:00PM. Interment will be at Riverbank Cemetery. Donations made to the Sussex Wesleyan Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
