Lily Erb wife of the late Frank Henry Erb passed away gracefully at the Sussex Health Center on September 2, 2004. Born on Maple Avenue Extension, Sussex, NB, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rosa (Parkes) Freeze. She is survived by five children; Doris Alexander (David) of Sussex, NB, Christene Anthony of Mission Viejo, California, Marcia McCullum (Terry) of Roachville, NB, Albert (Eileen) of Sussex, NB and Douglas (Doris) of Petitcodiac, NB; eight grandchildren, Albert L. Erb, Alecia Watson (Glenn), Dianne Erb, Darren Erb, Dawna Erb, Marie McCullum Mudge (Scott), Lauren McCullum and Denise McCullum;seven great-grandchildren, Shantaya, Christopher, Criss, Kirsten, Cole, Devon and Logan; two sisters, Viola Fillmore and Evelyn Caldwell (Ross). She was predeceased by daughter Barbara Ann (Erb) McCann and brothers Frederick Freeze and Albert Freeze. She attended Sussex High School. As well as bringing up six children, she owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store and gave special care to many sick elderly people in her own home. She enjoyed gardening, making and selling quilts, knitting, pickling, watching Jeopardy, shopping and being with family and friends. She was an especially loving grandmother. In the past few years she enjoyed attending the Apohaqui Community Church. She was a very kind and generous person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A short funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
