The death of Dorothy Jean Davis of Sussex occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on July 25, 2006 at the age of 76. Dorothy was the only child of the late Melbourne and Maise (McEwen) Crothers. Dorothy took frequent trips to British Columbia to visit family. She had a great love of trailering and camping in the summer and enjoyed playing cards with friends. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Andrew Davis, daughter Connie Creamer (Michael) of Saint John, son Dwain Davis (Jan) of Kamloops, BC, grandchildren Joe, Kevin and Lauren Davis, Jason and Peter Creamer, four great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Barb Davis of Millbrook and her four children, two aunts, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday July 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex. A private family interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Kiwanis Nursing Home or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
