Obituary of Dorothy Lackie

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Phyllis Lackie , age 94, of Sussex, NB, announces her passing which occurred on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Hillsdale, NB, on January 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Gordon and Lou (Howe) Pickel.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Lori Mercer of Saint John, NB, and Lyn Cunningham of Sussex, NB; grandchildren: Bradley Mercer, Stephanie Fineberg, Dawn Locke and Duane Cunningham; great grandchildren: Nicholas, Erin, Victoria, Alex, Morgan, Brodie, Aiden and Keith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd Lackie; and sisters: Elizabeth Pickel and Virgina Pickel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (506-433-2133), 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB, where visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tim MacDonald.

Interment will take place in Salt Springs Community Cemetery, Salt Springs, NB.
