The death of Joan Sharon (Hughes) Tracy of Sussex passed away at her residence on June 7, 2004 at the age of 52. Born on April 7, 1952 in Sussex. She was a daughter of the late Austin and Mildred (Worden) Hughes. Joan is survived by her son Robert and his wife Melissa (Ryder) Noel and grandson Dylan of Sussex, sisters June McLaughlin of Penobsquis and Sheila Hayes and her husband Bryant of Portage Vale, as well as several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. She was predeceased by her husband Gary Tracy, brothers George, Robert and Russell Hughes and an infant sister Shirley. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday June 10, 2004 at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Gordon Mackenzie officiating. Interment will be at Coles Island United Baptist Cemetery and a reception will follow in the church hall at Coles Island.
