The death of Gerald Lawrence Bartlett of Sussex occurred March 20, 2008, at the Sussex Health Centre. Gerald was born at Sussex in 1943, the son of the late George and Lilly (Fawcett) Bartlett. He is survived by his children; Cecelia Bartlett and Colin Bartlett, both of Sussex, sisters; Donna Virtue (Bennie) of Penobsquis and Linda Stewart of Sussex, grandchildren; Megan, Zachary and Noah, as well as several nieces and nephews. Gerald is predeceased by his sisters; Joan Thompson, Jean Burnham and Evelyn Landry, and brothers; Roy, Lorne, George, Harold and Ronald McGaghey. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (21 Aiton Road, Sussex. 506-433-2133) on Monday from 2-4, and 7-9 PM. Sussex Branch#20 Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Tribute on Tuesday at 6:45PM. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dr. Neville Gosman officiating. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery at a later date.
