The death of Vernon Edward Parlee of Drury's Cove, NB occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on September 10, 2004. Born at Drury's Cove, he was a son of the late King G. and Margaret J. (McFarlane) Parlee and the husband of Marion (Illsley) Parlee. In addition to his wife, Vernon is survived by his children Patricia Holder (George) of Pearsonville, Walter Parlee of Drury's Cove, Edith McCrea (Richard) of Collina, Jean Parlee (Francis) of Petitcodiac and David Parlee of Drury's Cove, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Vernon was predeceased by a brother Harold Parlee, sister Mabel Smith and grandsons Michael McCrea and Scott Cunningham. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 14, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Philip Dallimore officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
